Battlescape

This one doesnt even have primer on it... so a long way to go...

Basilica Administratum (WIP)

For the rubble I used a combination of Sprue, Cat Litter, Saw Dust, Elmers Glue, House Paint. I painted them using black primer, a blue spray paint, and than did the base in a grey primer to speed up painting when I get to that point. I also added some sidewalks using styrene but it didnt turn out so well. I might beable to salvage it during the paint process... time will tell.

Imperial Terrain (WIP)

So these Imperial Buildings are made using 2 Imperial Sectors and a few extra bits that I got from a friend. They are base coated but are still lacking the details that I want to give them. On second thought I will be giving each building its own post it will make it much easier to add the images.

Hive Fleet Locnar

Ok so this is going to be very pic heavy I have just a tad over 8000 points worth of Tyranids. My apple green color scheme made me think of the Locnar so I decided to call them Hive Flree Locnar.

The Swarmlord and 3 Tyrant Guard w/ lash whips.
Hive Tyrant w/ Scything Talons and 3 Tyrant Guard
Winged Hive Tyrant w/ Lash Whip and Bonesword

5 Tervigons
The Red Terror (since It has no stats)
Elites:
9 Hive Guard These are custum built mostly using the body of warriors and talons from I think hormagaunts and one of the large guns off of the MC sprue.
3 Venomthropes
3 Pyrovores
3 Lictors
Troops:
150 Termagaunts w/ Fleshborers

75 Hormagaunts
@50 Genestealers w/ 2 built Broodlords (i have 2 more unbuilt).
@47 Termagaunts w/ Devourers
18 Warriors w/ Magnetic Arms (dont know where the arms are at the moment)
Fast Attack:
6 Raveners
20 Gargoyles
Heavies:
3 Biovores w/9 Spore Mines
2 Tyrannafexs (custom built body of a carnifex and the head of the Mawloc some greenstuff work.
3 Trygons (2 Prime 1 not)
3 Carnifexs

Descent Board

OK time for an update after a couple of weeks of assembly and painting here is a pic of my latest project. Its the Descent board that I cast out of plaster using the molds from www.hirstarts.com

I didn't have the paints that he used to paint his up so I decided to go with what I had on hand.

The paint scheme was done using the following method.

First I painted the whole thing using black house paint.
2nd I spray painted it a tan/bone color.
3rd I gave it a black wash. (I was hoping that's all it would take)
but I wasn't happy with the results so I)
4th gave it a bone white dry brush
5th than did sort of a wet brush of avocado green
6th did a brown wash
7 followed that up with a black wash
and finally I gave it a bone white dry brush and for the most part I am happy with the way it turned out.

Yesterday I played my first game on it and it was pretty fun, as I am no expert at Descent my friend who has played a lot more than I do was pretty impressed how much easier it was to set up. The pieces go together pretty easy and don't move around that much if you bump them. The only disadvantage I can see is that the grid is sometimes harder to see/use when trying to determine line of sight.

So if you have any comments/questions/suggestions feel free to leave comments.

My Introduction.

First off I will start by saying that I am not a writer and will likely make spelling errors and grammar fails. That being said I will do my best to limit those.

I think I will start by taking pictures of my current armies and the terrain I have in its current state of incompleteness. This will likely take me a few days to complete as I have 8 warhammer armies and a ton of terrain. I just finished doing a bunch of Hirst Arts casting. If you dont know what Hirst arts is go to www.hirstarts.com and be amazed I was and now Im a junkie.

My current project that I am working on is the Descent board. Pictures to follow.

Thats all for now.
